From a long line of jumpers Fantasie's sire is the International Grade A Exander who was by It's the Business out of Equalizer both also Grade A showjumpers. It's the Business is by Jasper winner of the Hamburg Derby.

He has gone on to win A.I.T’s and Grand Prixs in Italy, France and Spain. Exander has a superb temperament. His offspring are competing very successfully B.S.J.A. as 4& 5 year olds, all have inherited his huge jump and temperament. A.E.S. Fully approved B.S.J.A. Silver Elite.

It’s The Business is a Grade A International Showjumper Winning well in excess of £30,000 in his short showjumping career before an injury ended his international career at 9 years old. In 1994 he won the three major indoor winter Championships, EPD, Toggi and Parkes.

1st & 4th International Grand Prix in Veendam, Holland. 1st Grand Prix, Newark and Notts. 1st AIT Bath & West, 1st AIT Royal Welsh, 1st AIT New Forest.

1st Special Stallion Jumping Championship at Valkenswaard in Holland where It’s the Business beat Europe’s top 35 showjumping stallions.

The sire of It's the Business, Jasper, won the Hamburg Jumping Derby and many other international classes. With a heart as big as a lion, and as careful as they come, he has had many admirers. In the 1995 BCM world rankings, Jasper rocketed into seventh place on the list of top progenitors. Of course, this Courville son had already made a name for himself in International jumping as Little One, but he seems equally competent as producer of showjumping horses. Considering the qualities of Legato, Jabot, El Padrino, Elton, Degina, Avontuur, Copa Cobana, King Size and Wodan B, it seems likely that Jasper will be one of the regulars in the top rankings for years to come.

The dam of It's the Business, Alanda was a very successful showjumper in Holland, with numerous wins and successes. In 1994 she was 4th in the Dutch Showjumping Championships (the top placed mare). Alanda’s maternal grandsire Kartouche and his sire Gondelier were both international showjumpers.

Alanda’s sire Le Mexico had phenomenal jumping ability, the very quality that he passes on to his offspring. This Furioso grandson, Le Mexico, has been a gift of the Gods for Dutch breeding. This SF, who exclusively served the KWPN, produced reliable jumpers, 19 of which are in the ranking, that makes him one of the most productive WBCSH sires. Besides Starlet and Comex, Le Mexico produced many top class products himself, but seems to do even better through his daughters, as Burggravin, Murphy Brown La Silla, It’s The Business and Everest Elton are fearsome competitors in many a Grand Prix. His sire Mexico was a successful stallion in France, being sired by Furioso, who produced a
number of approved sons besides Mexico, such as Futuro and Furioso II.

With Fantasie coming from a long line of International showjumpers it comes as no surprise that she herself went on to compete Internationally and become a Grade A showjumper in her own right. We have high hopes for her own future progeny.

PERFORMANCE

We purchased Fantasie in 2001 and competed her for 8 years winning in excess of £6,000. She was placed at several International shows in 1.30m speed classes. Some of her successes in the UK include:

ABOUT FANTASIE

Fantasie has been part of our family for a long time! She has been a pleasure to own. She has a wonderful and affectionate temperament and is easy in all respects.

She was one of the first horses that I had to compete and took me to my first International show. I produced her right from her first training show through the young horse classes to Grade A and she never let me down, remaining extremely consistent throughout her career, even being placed at every International show that she attended. She was placed at the Scope Festival, the Blue Chip Championships and the Arena UK Festival.

She retired aged 12 in 2009 sound and well to become a foundation mare in our breeding programme.
Her last class was a speed class at Weston Lawns big Summer Extravaganza which she won by some margin. She will be missed as part of the Showjumping team however it was felt that she had a lot to give as part of our broodmare herd.
