18th May
It has been very busy here the last few weeks with new horses arriving.
We took 4 horses to Hargate on Sunday and had some great results with Gitta finishing in 2nd place in her class and Averna finishing in second in the 1.15m members cup. Major also jumped a clear in is class.
On Sunday night our wonderful 20yr old mare, Castle Anna had a beautiful filly by the Concorde stallion Ubbo. We have named the filly Annastasia and couldn't be more pleased with her!! We are now awaiting the Ubbo foals from Artifleur Z and Tresemiek.
The beautiful E.S.Annastasia only hours old.
20th April

The biggest news this week is the return of Ubbo, a KWPN stallion by the great Concorde, who is graded AES. Available at stud this year!
20th March

11th March
Today we jumped the younger horses over the jumps with the new arena decor! They were all very well behaved, pictured here is Hollister, our stunning 5 yr old gelding by Lord Z. Oli is a very exciting prospect for someone to produce onto Grand Prix level.
In the video bleow, Ayrton, our homebred rising 4yr old jumps the flowers. He is very bold and a natural jumper. We have high hopes for his future!
8th March
Today Sarah and Matt had the task of getting some arena decor to test the horses at home and this is what they came up with!!;
This was then used to decorate some jumps, complete with flowers that spin round underneath one of the jumps!
First to test out the flower fence was Rona who behaved impeccably, see video below;
(Look out for the spinning flowers!)
Tommorow we shall try the young horses over some of the decorated fences as a step forward in their education.
7th March
We had some lovely bridles arrive from Black Horse Saddlery today (www.blackhorsesaddlery.co.uk)
Hollister has had a beautiful Equipe rolled patent bridle with matching breastplate! Photos to follow shortly. We have also had some Veredus Tekna Shield overreach boots to try for Varadox so will do a product testing report next week!

Great news today from Kate in Geurnsey, Power went clear at his first show over there today!!! Power was a yard favourite here and we owned him for alomost 3 years so he could only have gone to the very best of homes, we loved him so much. Can't wait to visit him in Geurnsey this summer! This week has seen the arrival of two Alfie's ;
We have welcomed Alfie to the yard, a 17.hh rising 7 yr old gelding by Tolan R, in training for his owner Vicky.
We also have a new member of staff in Matt Gattfield who is going to be helping with the riding work and brings his own showjumper, also named Alfie, with him.

10th FebruaryOur new horsebox has arrived!! It is a 26 tonne Mercedes Wilcox with a large living and takes 8 horses! Very exciting for us in preparation for the summer season.
2nd FebruaryOur homebred rising 4yr old, Ayrton, continues to impress. Here are some new photos of him working at home today;
Ayrton is out of our wonderful foundation broodmare, Castle Anna and by It's the Business.
Both of Ayrton's parents have jumped at International Grand Prix level.

30th JanuaryWe took our fabulous Lord Z 5 year old gelding, Hollister P, to his first ever show at the weekend, at Tushingham arena. He jumped a double clear, we were so proud of him! He was impeccably behaved in the collecting ring.
28th JanuaryOur fabulous horse Power has been sold to a wonderful home with Kate in Geurnsey. We have owned Power for 3 years and are very sad to see him go, but I know that he will have the best of homes with Kate which is the most important thing!

12th JanuaryWe took the new horses Rumba and Esprit to South View yesterday- both jumped lovely clear rounds- videos to be on Youtube channel 'Elitesporthorses' shortly!
I was very pleased with them as although they were both superb at home I like to try a horse in a show environment before showing them to clients so that I know more about them. They were both impeccably behaved in the collecting ring and arena so I was more than pleased with them.
Rumba, the stunning rising 5 yr old by a son of Indoctro, jumps superbly at South View.
Esprit DW, a lovely compact Belgian mare suitable for a Young Rider. Extremely careful and competitive!
We also took Averna for a jump and he jumped a super clear.

11th January
Our first homebred, E.S. Ayrton, is making great progress!
He is rising 4 this year and is by the fabulous stallion It's the Business out of our foundation mare Castle Anna.
Castle Anna jumped to 1.60m level and jumped International Grand Prix with several riders so we have high hopes for her foals, the eldest of which is Ayrton.
Ayrton did his first jump under saddle today, and I am starting to get excited about producing him!
E.S. Ayrton now under saddle!
Close on his heels is his full sister E.S. Arianna who will be backed this year, and following Arianna we have a succession of homebred youngsters to join our showjumping team.
As a result of our homebred youngsters coming through, we have made the difficult decision to cut back on our other horses to make way for the youngsters. Hence Power, our wonderful Concorde x Nimmerdor x Bon Ami 2003 gelding is now sadly for sale. a 10* home will be required for Power, he is very special.
9th January

We also have a new broodmare in the beautiful Zapa who is an Oldenburg 11 yr old with Zeus and Grannus bloodlines. We are currently trying to decide on which stallions to use in 2012. To go in foal this year we have Castle Anna, Artifleur Z, Tresemeik, Zapa, and possibly E.S.Arianna who is 3 yrs old this year. We aim to jump Fantasie for one more year and cover her in 2013. Although this may change!

At the end of December we sold our fabulous AES licensed stallion, Ubbo. He will now be standing at stud at his new home at
Stud Farm Austerson, Nantwich, Cheshire.
We have 3 foals due in 2012 by Ubbo here at Elite Sport Horses. To our foundation mares Castle Anna, Artifleur Z and Tresemeik.
If anyone is interested in using Ubbo in 2012 you can contact Vicky Wilkins at the stud.
